An old photo of a Turkey-based Nigerian man, Obiora Kingsley Anaedo, was allegedly found inside a bottle that was buried in front of his building site in Nigeria  An Enugu based pastor, Prophet Nnamdi Onwuka, who disclosed this on Tuesday, June 8, accused a family member of burying an old photo of Obiora inside a bottlel. Governor Ayade's aide resigns, says "his ideology does not go in tandem with that of APC"

The Special Assistant to Governor Ben Ayade on Safety Commission, Victor Bassey Effiong, has resigned his appointment. In his resignation letter on the day of Wednesday, June 9, Mr Effiong said that "his ideology does not go in tandem with that of the All Progressive Congress (APC)" He therefore said: "After a period of consideration I have decided to remain with the People's Democratic Party which I was a pioneer Youth leader in my Ward Uyanga in Akampa LGA," the letter read. "Let me thank His Excellency Sir Prof Ben Ayade for the opportunity given to me to serve our dear state as Special Assistant. This opportunity in no doubt widens my horizons in the affairs of government. Also thanks to my political associates, friends and family for their support while on this special assignment."

Jangebe students said their school watchman was involved in their abduction - Governor Matawalle

Governor Bello Matawalle has disclosed that the schoolgirls who were abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe in Talata-Mafara LGA in February, alleged that their school watchman was involved in the incident. The Zamfara state Governor made the disclosure while appearing on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme. Matawalle said the students alleged that the bandits told them that their watchman gave them the go-ahead to come. He said; "Even the watchman of the school…. The children have mentioned that when they were there; after releasing them, the bandits were telling them (the schoolgirls) to greet the watchman for them. “They even mentioned his name that he is the one who gave them the go-ahead to come, so he was involved. “They have said this in front of the commissioner of police in Zamfara state. Investigation will be carried out and all people involved will be known.”

CBN Bans Cryptocurrency Exchange in Nigeria | See How Everyone is Reacting to the News

The Central Bank of Nigeria on February 5, 2021,  released a statement  signed by the Director of Banking Supervision  Bello Hassan  and the Director of Payments System Management Department  Musa I. Jomoh , prohibiting financial institutions in Nigeria from dealing in cryptocurrencies or facilitating payments for cryptocurrency exchange. Meaning all trading of cryptocurrency in Nigeria has been banned, as all Deposit Money Banks, Non-Bank Financial Institutions and Other Financial Institutions have been directed to identify persons and/or entities transacting in or operating cryptocurrency exchange within their systems and ensure that such accounts are closed immediately.
